Free training to become a Guardian ad Litem, Aug. 9, 10, 11, 2022

A Guardian ad Litem is a court-appointed advocate who repr esent s the best interests of the child or ward in tribal court cases. Non-attorneys and attorneys welcome.


o The FCP Court is in interesting in expanding its roster of Guardians ad Litem, for Guardianships, in addition to children and family cases.
o This training is 2 /1 2 days and provides students with a foundation for practicing as GAL in FCP Tribal Court.
o Free of charge.
o 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, first two days; 8:30 AM to 12 PM on third day.
o Those who complete the course will be subject to a short application process (including background check) and approval of judges.
o A short exam will beadministered free of charge.
o Written binder of materials provided.
o CLE credits will be applied for.
